Seminar on "Children and Medicinal Plants: What Does Science Say?" Held
Dr. Begümhan Ömeroğlu Gülada, Research Assistant in our department, successfully delivered the seminar entitled "Children and Medicinal Plants: What Does Science Say?" on 4 July 2026 as part of the 7th International Balıkesir Aromatherapy Festival, organized by Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality at BAÇEM between 2–5 July 2026.
As part of this year's festival, held under the theme "Taste, Abundance, Memory," Dr. Ömeroğlu Gülada informed participants about the current scientific evidence regarding the use of medicinal plants in children, principles for their safe use, and common misconceptions in this field.
The seminar attracted considerable interest from participants and emphasized the importance of evidence-based approaches to the use of medicinal plants in children while highlighting key principles for their safe use in light of current scientific evidence.
