Scientific Contribution of Our Department to the International Congress on Academic Research in Health Sciences in Balıkesir

The “International Congress on Academic Research in Health Sciences” was held in Balıkesir on October 10–12, 2025, with broad academic participation.

In the Scientific and Organizing Committee of the congress,

Prof. Funda GÜLCÜ BULMUŞ, Chair of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Health Sciences, Balıkesir University, and

Prof. Nurcan YABANCI AYHAN from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Health Sciences, Ankara University,

took part and contributed academically to the organization.

In Panel 1: Healthy Living and Longevity, two invited speakers from the field of Nutrition and Dietetics delivered presentations:

Prof. Nurcan YABANCI AYHAN – “Energy Balance and Longevity”

Prof. Hülya YARDIMCI – “The Role of Nutrition in Longevity”

Faculty members of our department also presented their scientific research during the congress:

Res. Asst. Dr. Begümhan ÖMEROĞLU GÜLADA delivered her online oral presentation titled “Functional Foods as Nutritional Strategies Against Inflammation.”

The joint presentation titled “Nutrition in Psychiatric Disorders”, prepared by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aybike CEBECİ, Res. Asst. Dr. Begümhan ÖMEROĞLU GÜLADA, and Prof. Funda GÜLCÜ BULMUŞ, was presented in-person by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aybike CEBECİ during the oral presentation session of the congress.
